A report from the Hexham Courant (Yes it is a local paper, we read them all to write this site) says that UK Chille Grower and Sauce maker Dan May has got his Trees Can’t Dance sauces in to 50 Tesco’s stores.
We look forward to seeing them in our local store soon.

It seems that in a recent survey the UK’s best selling Sweet Chilli Sauce was voted the best tasting in the UK. Click here to see the original story from Talking Retails web site.
Do you know any different? Are there any UK produced (or other) Sweet Chilli Sauces that taste better or are they all just to sweet and non nondescript.

Edible Ornamentals in Chawston, Beds has opened the UK’s first Chilli Pick Your Own, with over 40 varieties available including the Bhut Jolokia and the Dorset Naga.
It was reported in the Telegraph that “The couple already operate the UK’s only chilli farm from huge green houses on the site supplying 400,000 chillies a year to British supermarkets including Waitrose”

Started in 2006, this will be the 4th time for this event. The stall are in the sheltered Rose Garden, and the event offers Chilli plants, products and sample foods from around the world.
