Super Chilli F1
The Super Chilli is part of the Capsicum Annuum Spices of chillies, it was the first chilli plant I grew in my green house, and it lived up to it name, being very simple grow and produced a very impressive crop.
The plant is of a compact style, and is described as an ornamental, it produces up to 300 fruits, ripening from light green via orange to red, and they can be pretty hot at 35,000 to 50,000 SHU (Scoville Units).
The Super Chilli is idea for growing in pots and makes a very impressive patio plant with it’s up to 7 cm long, slender, pointed fruits pointing upwards, unlike it close relative the Thai Dragon, who’s fruits hang down. The seeds are in the RHS Vegetable Collection and it was grown in at the RHS as part of a trial in 2008 receiving an RHS Award for Garden Merit.
The Super Chilli has been around for a while and has won a number of awards including the 1988 All-America Selections winner in the vegetable category.
